Guacamole is one of those things that should aways be fresh and homemade. It only takes 5 minutes and is totally worth the effort!
Macaroni and cheese is comfort food at it’s best. This paleo version has neither mac, nor cheese, but you won’t miss them! We can substitute cauliflower for the mac, and make a cheese sauce out of coconut milk and nutritional yeast. You can really get creative and add whatever variation of extra ingredients you want. In this recipe, we made Garden Mac and Cheese..so that includes broccoli, red pepper, onion, and jalapeno. Simply delicious!
Crispy. Chorizo. Tacos. These are pretty much perfection. The sausage is salty, spicy, and crispy. The slaw is fresh and tangy. The dressing is cool and creamy. The shells are soft and not full of things that make you feel bad. This dish truly represents what CleanEatr is all about. Eating healthy does NOT have to be boring.
Who doesn’t love a good Cobb Salad? The star of this one is the dressing: a homemade creamy roasted red pepper ranch. Making your own dressing is really not as laborious as it may sound. This one takes just about 5 minutes to put together in a small smoothie blender. Next time you’re making salad, I highly recommend giving it a try!
This slaw is simple and refreshing, paleo, and vegan. The cabbage is crunchy, the carrot is sweet, the pepper is spicy, and the apple is tangy. Basically you get the best of all worlds! You can have it as a side dish or do what I did and add it on top of a taco!
This is my raw, vegan, paleo recipe for almond butter cookie dough. It is loaded with good stuff and so I call it almond butter crack. Enjoy!
This is the 3rd recipe in a series for making the perfect seafood salad. The salad base would be great with chicken if seafood isn’t your thing.
Part 1: Spicy Herby Tuna Cakes
I like to make my own salad dressings. Store bought dressings often have sugar or other unnecessary ingredients. For this, I made an extremely simple, extremely tasty lemon tahini dressing. Recipe coming soon!
Tuna/Salmon/Crab cakes are great because you can flavor them however floats your boat. They’re also super easy and fast to make. I had some Thai red peppers on hand and decided to take a spicy route, plus it also adds a nice pop of color.
Fresh herbs are recommended however I didn’t have any and substituted dried. Both work fine, I just happen to prefer fresh whenever possible.
As the title of the recipe states, these shrimp are incredible! And super easy to make. If you have the time to prep ahead and and let the shrimp marinate for 1-2 hours they will really take on the flavor. Enjoy!
The shrimp are great by themselves, over a salad, and definitely over zoodles!
